Kornerstone School, Incorporated is a 501(c)3 public tuition-free school serving grades 8-12 in the Kimberly Area School District.
Student Body
Kornerstone attracts students with a wide range of interests and ability levels and is one of the first schools to fuse Service-Learning with Project-Based Learning. As a pure Project Based Learning (PBL) school, projects drive the learning. From their first day at Kornerstone School, students also have the opportunity to enroll in Advanced Placement courses, webinars, and other online courses. Students also have the opportunity to participate in world class athletics at Kimberly High School, and all other extracurricular activities (drama, band, clubs, etc).
Many schools have a service project incorporated into their school; however, Kornerstone's Community Mentorship Program provides student's with an apprenticeship like experience into a professional field of their choice. The student body is well rounded and active participants in their local community.
