Preparing Children for Life
Currently, students are being prepared for jobs that don't yet exist. A high school grad from 2000, would have never heard of Facebook, or known that someone could make a million dollars of of designing ring tones. Therefore it is up to the parents, teachers, and students; all three must work together to provide student's with skills needed to live a happy-fulfilling life.
By striving towards mastery of the Big 5 Employability Traits, students in Kornerstone learn how to be prepared for whatever task they're provided. When student's are in charge of their own curriculum, they have to develop time management skills that resemble that of a professional adult. When students are permitted to seek out answers to burning questions, they gain confidence in themselves and better understand the learning process.
